| NSSI launched in June of 2020 to help schools and districts provide stronger virtual learning. In our innovative model, participating teachers work in close partnership with our award-winning mentor teachers in their grade and subject. Our curriculum team develops detailed lesson plans and materials for each day of the five-week program.
Then, a NSSI mentor teacher videotapes each lesson delivered to their own students. Partner teachers across America access not only the video of their mentor, but all of the lesson’s resources—detailed plans, student-facing slides, student workbooks, and more. Twice a week, participating teachers and their mentor meet virtually in what is, in effect, a national grade team meeting to go deep into the upcoming lessons. Together, they craft and deliver exceptional learning experiences.
